WhatsApp Web – Upcoming Feature

According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp recently rolled out a new update through the TestFlight Beta program, bringing the beta version of WhatsApp for iOS Along with this update, the platform is working on bringing a new feature to WhatsApp Web that will allow users to assign a 'Favorites' filter to contacts of their choice. With the advent of this feature, WhatsApp Web users can select the contacts they consider as their favorites and apply a filter to prioritize them.

The report states that this feature is currently under development and is likely to come with future updates of WhatsApp Web.

This development comes soon after WABetaInfo discovered another upcoming feature in WhatsApp for iOS, which allows users to designate favorite contacts to make calls quickly from the Calls tab, meaning you can contact your favorite people without going through multiple options!

New dark mode

Along with the upcoming favorite filter, WhatsApp Web is also reportedly getting a revamped dark mode. With this move, reported by WABetaInfo , WhatsApp aims to align its aesthetics more closely with the Android app, catering to the preferences of dark theme enthusiasts. A refined color scheme follows in the footsteps of the Android app's Dark Mode update, emphasizing the importance of a consistent look across all platforms.
